Kate Kalmström A good translation in the right time in the right wayHOME

My choice of occupation has always been influenced by my strong interest in the Swedish language, its use and structure. I studied to be a teacher, first for the lower grades and later for higher levels.

During many years I taught the Swedish language to immigrants, and during the latest twenty years I have been a translator. I have also written textbooks and manuals. Apart from languages I am interested in literature, history, animals, nature and music

I also like to design websites, and apart from this site I manage the site for the family business, www.kalmstrom.com.  I have also created websites for the ceramist  Agneta Larsen and the author Ann-Christin Hensher.

I live with my husband Sigge and our dog Lisa on an island off the Swedish south-eastern coast. It is beautiful in the summers, but we spend the winters in southern Spain where we earlier lived permanently.
